Objectives
The dawn of the twenty-first century witnessed the rapid advancement and expansion of various information- and communications-related technologies. As the recognition of the importance of role of information in every aspect of life is growing, so is the demand for more information throughout the world, fuelling the spectacular advancement and growth of IT fields. The objective of the program is to cultivate workforce for the twenty-first-century information society that would lead the research and development of more original technologies. The department intends to recruit expertise and human resources from related fields and encourage students to specialize in research and education. The organic relations the school plans to build with the industry will also help to produce the type of workforce needed to strengthen the information-based industry in Korea.
